Guys,

I went for a look around the new lines being constructed today.

Bundaberg Ring road work continues which involves the re alignment of the line across Telegraph Rd and Simpsons loop (see photo, ring road can be seen to right of photo). The line is now in place and ballasted but looks like there is some rail welding to be done in some areas.

Strathdees's line still has not progressed since my last visit about a month ago.

Despite earlier reports that they had canned it, Cellars Hill is now complete (see photo). The old track would have been almost level with the road.

Dad believes that they have removed Rob Royans loop. As a result they had to install a run around loop at Kenzlers, which was previously a spur. Ballast bins and plow were sighted at Kenzlers (see photo).

The other project that has been started is the Pitts hill re alignment. Formation work and survey pegs can be seen from Ward's Rd at the top of Pitts Hill (see photo). The track will run about 300-400m further down Ward's Rd and then curves down towards the old alignment.

Formation work can also be seen on the FMD side of Splitter's Ck Bridge at the bottom of Pitt's Hill (see photo). The old line can be seen to the right.

Millaquin Mill is expected to start crushing on the 26th May, Bingera Mill on the 16th June.
