These exercises are being taught by qualified tai chi/qigong instructors. All care will be taken to ensure your wellbeing and safety. Any instructions given are intended as guidance only and you should not do anything that you consider inappropriate for you. These exercises are not intended as a substitute for medical advice or care. Please consult your medical practitioner before you begin or if you have any questions or concerns about the suitability of these classes.
As best we can determine at 18 March 2022 we will not be required to determine vaccination status to attend our small outdoor tai chi classes. Social distancing and good hygiene (hand washing, etc.) is still required, masks are optional. Please DO NOT ATTEND if you are at all unwell.
The previous Wednesday evening class is now Saturday morning: 9:00-10:00am, Rockhampton Botanical Gardens (The Tamarind Tree Line -- between the Japanese Gardens and the War Memorial), with occasional classes on the Capricorn Coast (details by e-mail). Site Map.
All Rockhampton tai chi participants are welcome to attend, regardless of your fitness or skill level. Multiple instructors provide small group instruction based on level of Khor-style tai chi attainment. AATC class fees ($5/session) apply.
Classes continue through school breaks, including throughout the summer. Summer classes may be less formal but will continue every Saturday as normal -- Fees apply.

Participants work in a single group consisting of practitioners at several levels of practice. Activities include Qigong and balance bar type exercises and the first three levels of the AATC tai chi set.
